Introduction of Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor
Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor was established in 1932 and
provided accommodation for the first wave of travelers for
whom the Angkor Temples were obligatory stopover. Reopened
in 1997 after an extensive restoration and refurbishment
programmed by Raffles International, the hotel resumes
position as the premiere resort in Cambodia. A grand
historic hotel, it is the place to stay in when visiting
Angkor and is a destination unto itself.

Accommodation
The hotel has 119 guestrooms and suites, each tastefully appointed with art
deco country style furnishings and Cambodian object d art, reflecting the
period architectural theme. The Main Building, carefully restored and
refurbished to its original architectural style, is complemented by the new
wing of the same architectural inspiration.
There are six room types to satisfy guests varied preferences.
State Rooms,
located in the new wing of the hotel and offer a choice of views; pool view
or view of the lush gardens adjacent to the hotel.
Landmark Rooms,
located in the Main Building, are furnished with luxurious blend of
Cambodian and art deco themes. The rooms are decorated with memorabilia and artifacts reminiscent of the Golden Age of Travel.
Studio,
fitted with superior Bose stereo systems, ergonomically designed work
stations and full pantry facilities, are created for long staying guests who
prefer a more residential feel.
Four specially created Personality Suites take their direction from
people who have been closely associated with Angkor, Prized memorabilia and
original artefacts, the result of extensive research, of Henri Mouhot, John
Thomson, Louis Delaporte and Henri Marchal, are some of the well loved
items.
Cabana Suites,
The newly renovated Cabana Suites measures 70-square meters each. The suites
are decorated in French-Indochina style while retaining the hotel's original
character and charm by using local accents, such as custommade Cambodian
linens and silks, rich drapery and leather furnishings. The sense of luxury
extends seamlessly to the bathrooms, with separate showers and claw-footed
baths. Each suite also features wireless internet access and high-tech
entertainment modules.
The two
Villas have stylish resort décor and are ideal for residents
who prefer more space and privacy.
Villa Uma and Villa Kama are located in
the hotel's inner gardens and offer an interrupted view of the swimming pool
and children's fun pool. Each villa has two spacious bedrooms, living room
and dining area and private verandah. Furnished in comfort and luxury, each

POOLSIDE TERRACE
The poolside consists of the area around the 35m pool. Surrounded by

APSARA TERRACE

THE CONSERVATORY

refreshments served in the Conservatory. It has a discreet atmosphere and
