Cambodia Tourist Attractions

Siem Reap | Phnom Penh | Preah Sihanouk | Battambang

Cambodia lies on the peninsula of Indochina:  to its North lie Thailand and Laos, and Vietnam lies to the east and south. The Khmer people occupy most of the regions in Cambodia and only about four percent of the people are Vietnamese, Chinese or Muslims. Cambodia is a beautiful country with rich vegetation, forests and lakes which feast the eyes. If you visit Cambodia you will become enchanted with its beauty. There are so many places to be visited in Cambodia; like the cities of Phnom Penh, SIEM REAP, PREAH Sihanouk and BATTAMBANG.

When you visit Cambodia do not forget to visit the city of Phnom Penh. It is a very old city with many monuments and architectural buildings. Most of its famous buildings were constructed by the French during their reign. Phnom Penh still has within it many antique buildings, factories and stadiums which take us back to history. However, the city has been renovated with many new buildings and houses giving it a modern look. Phnom Penh is a blend of the old beauty of the French buildings together with all the benefits of the developed city. Thus Phnom Penh is surely the chief tourist attraction in Cambodia.

But now SIEM REAP has become the chief attraction for tourists and even for business men. Since the year 2000 the government of Cambodia has introduced an open air policy which has attracted much trade worldwide, thus developing this city magnificently.

The next place where you must go when you visit Cambodia is BATTAMBANG. This is the second largest city in Cambodia, with rivers, lakes, green parks, cultivation and rich culture. There are many tourist places to visit in BATTAMBANG such as the museum and Buddhist pagodas. Temples of BANON and EK PHNOM are situated in BATTAMBANG. Visit Cambodia and enjoy nature’s beauty!
