Cambodia History Tours 8 days & 7 nights

 


Day 1: (-/L/D)
After arriving in Siem Reap, you are welcomed by one of our tour guides who will take you to your hotel. Visiting the temples will start shortly thereafter. This morning, you will start to visit Roluos Group Temples: Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. The temples are built from the early of Angkor Period (802-1431). Preah Ko temple was built by king Indravarman I in 879. Bakong was built in 881. And Lolei was built by king Yasovarman I in 893.

Afternoon, you will visit the magnificent temple of Angkor Wat which is the largest temple in Angkor site, Angkor Wat was built by King Suryavarman II (1113 - 1150) to dedicate to God 'Vishnu'.

Day 2: (-/L/D)
This morning, you will visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphuon, Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, and Elephant Terrace and Leper King Terrace.

In the afternoon, you will start with a visit to Preah Khan temple, which was known as an old temporary city of king Jayavarman VII (1181-1218). You will continue to Neak Pean Temple, which was one of the 102 ancient hospitals of King Jayavarman VII who built this hospital temple for taking care people’s health. Mebon and Pre Rup temple will be visited later on. These two temples were built by the same king ‘Rajendra Varman II (944-967) to dedicate his ancestors.

Day 3: (-/L/ D)

This morning, you will visit Beng Mealea Temple which is built in the 12th century. It is the one was invaded by jungle. The temple was a model of building of Angkor Wat in Angkor site. Then you are going on to discovery about O Thmor Dab 'Quarry', the quarry of all temples in Cambodia. You will see the traces of Khmer ancestors cut the sand stone to build all temples in the areas.

Afternoon, you will take pleasure in “The Cambodian Cultural Village.” This is one of the best performances of Khmer culture in Cambodia. In Cambodia, both Khmer, ethnic and Chinese cultural shows are presented in different beautifully-decorated villages and there are also various dance shows, wedding ceremonies and Khmer & Chinese circuses that are performed by Khmer dancers including as many as 50 to 200 people.

Day 4: (-/L/ -) Siem Reap - Battambang
Departure to the north of Siem Reap to visit the citadel of woman - Banteay Srei - jewel indisputable of
the Khmer art: entirely have been constructed by hard pink sandstone, wonderfully sculpted, perfectly
preserved and restored. Then on the way back going on to Ta Prohm.

Your afternoon you will be out for a visit by boat, you will discovery the great lake "Tonle Sap": real Interior Ocean where there are a lot of fish which exported by the multiple villages of fishermen who you have got the occasion to approach. You will visit as well a fish & Crocodile Farms. Then transfer to Battambang by private vehicle with a/c.

Day 5: (B/-/-) Battambang - Phnom Penh

This morning You will take bamboo train about 1 hours to the village 7 km from Battambang town.
Then, You will head to the temple, you will see a variety of fruit plantations where grapes are planted for producing wine. You will also have a chance to test the grape wine of Cambodia. Many other plantations plant oranges, bananas, dragon fruits, jujube, and other vegetables. You will reach the temple of Banon which was constructed using sandstone and laterite on the mountain during the reign of king Jayavarman VII (1181-1218). After a 15 minute walk down the slope of a mountain you will visit La Ang Preah Teuk, the cave of sacred water. Inside the cave is the chance to see stalactite hanging from the roof of the cave.

This afternoon, you will transfer to Phnom Penh by private vehicle with a/c.

Day 6: (B/L/ -) Phnom Penh - Preah Sihanouk

This morning you will visit the Royal Palace, which was built in the conjunction of the Rivers during the reign of King NORODOM, and then you will continue to visit Silver Pagoda or Pagoda of Emerald Buddha. And then visit to National Museum.

After lunch you will visit Genocide Museum S21. And then you will transfer to Preah Sihanouk, take about 5 hours by private vehicle with a/c.

Day 7:  (B/L/-) Preah Sihanouk

This morning you will start at 7.30 am taking a joining boat trip for about 2 hours out to Koh Pos,

Koh Reusey and many other islands. These islands are calm and ideal for snorkeling &

swimming. You have a tour boat almost one full day by starting from 7:30AM and to finish around

5:00PM.

Lunch provided by boat staffs at the island.


 


Day 8:  (B/-/-) Preah Sihanouk - Phnom Penh

This morning you will relax at sand beaches in Preah Sihanouk. This moment you will have time of sun bathing on unruffled beaches.

Afternoon, you will transfer to airport of Phnom Penh for your next destination.
